I'm Salwa Faour, an Arabic calligrapher and multi-disciplinary designer with a passion for preserving and reimagining the rich heritage of Arabic calligraphy.
A Journey to Artistic Discovery
Born in Beirut, I developed a passion for Arabic calligraphy while studying Graphic Design at the American University of Beirut. After learning from master calligraphers across the Middle East, I expanded into product and interior design in Dubai. My expertise spans traditional and modern calligraphy, typography, lettering art, and cross-disciplinary design. Today, I run a creative hub in the UAE where traditional Arabic script is integrated into modern design. My work bridges the rich heritage and spiritual language of Arabic calligraphy with contemporary aesthetics, infusing cultural meaning into everyday objects.
